Washington Dance Academy is a Full-Time Dance school based in Washington,
Tyne and Wear. Susan Pluse established the school in
February 2007 at the Harraton Community Centre, Fatfield, and the Millennium Centre, Concord. In 2010 we are pleased to be able to offer classes at the Washington Village Community Centre
We are proud to offer a variety of classes in many different dance styles for children aged from 2 & half years upto Adults.Our highly trained qualified dance tutors provide lessons in the following subjects: Ballroom, Latin American, Salsa, Classical & Modern Sequence, Disco, Hip Hop, Cheerleading, Tap, Ballet, Performance, Street Cheer & Showcase.
We enrole children 2 & half years - 4 years into our specially tailored Tinkerbell/Peter Pan class, the class teaches pre-school children movement, co-ordination and rhythm, it also gives your children confidence, the ability to develop social skills but more importantly it is FUN! Infants 4yrs - 8yrs, Juniors 8yrs - 12yrs and Seniors 13yrs - 17yrs. We also welcome adults of all ages and abilities.
We follow the Northern Counties Dance Teachers Association and International Dance Teachers Association syllabi and prepare all pupils for Medal Test & Grade Examinations (optional).
All our staff receive ongoing training with highly qualified well established professionals to enable us to provide a high standard and to keep up with the latest dance styles and trends.
